GRANITE BELT WALK FOR THE WEST

St Joseph’s School is proud to promote and support this wonderful community initiative—the Granite Belt Walk for the West, a fundraising event to support BlazeAid’s vital work in rebuilding over 8,000 km of fencing destroyed by recent floods in Western Queensland.

BlazeAid generously spent 356 days in 2023/24 right here in the Granite Belt, helping our region recover from devastating bushfires by clearing and rebuilding fencing. Now, it’s our turn to give back.

Let’s come together to repay that kindness and support property owners in Western Queensland who are in desperate need of fencing to restore their livelihoods.

Event Details:
When: Saturday, 8 June
Where: Weeroona Park
Time: 10:00am registration for a 10:30am start

Fancy dress walkathon around Quart Pot Creek Parklands
Prizes for best costumes
Free sausage sizzle
Live music
Lucky numbers
Free lollipops
Cold drinks for purchase
Coffee available from Bean Better
Special celebrity guest to be announced soon!
